Half My Heart Beats is a new indiepop club night in Glasgow. We (Lynsey and Colin) are starting the club because we want somewhere to go to hear the music we love, and to share it with people who feel the same way. We will play current and classic indiepop, but you'll also hear '60s girl groups and anything else we think will get people up and dancing. We'll post a list of bands soon to give you an idea of the kind of thing we'll be playing.
We have been inspired by other indiepop club nights, like our friends at Spiral Scratch in London and the peerless National Pop League here in Glasgow, but we hope Half My Heart Beats will have an identity all of its own. We won't only play the hits; you'll also hear album track gems and B-sides, the stunning songs you wouldn't normally get to hear in a club setting. Dancing is very much at the heart of our club, and our playlists will be put together with that in mind.
This blog will be the best way of keeping up to date with everything relating to the club, so we recommend you subscribe to the RSS feed. We'll be keeping you up to date on how the first night is coming along, and we'll post photos and playlists afterwards. In future months we're planning some guest DJs, all of whom we're very excited about!
We'd love to hear your requests, so either leave a comment or email them to halfmyheartbeats@gmail.com. Thanks, and hope you can make it down for the first night!
When?: Half My Heart Beats will take place on the second Saturday of every month. We are hoping to have the first one in September, but we'll keep you informed

This night sounds absolutely perfect and I must certainly time a future visit for the appropriate Saturday. I hoep it carries on for a good long while! You must post the setlists after every even.

Yes! Yes! We want setlists!
I'll do my best to come to this even if it means cancelling Spiral Scratch.
